Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Fixed Equipment Team Leader located in Pascagoula, Mississippi throughFebruary 28that 11:59 p.m. (Central Standard Time).

This position leads a group of Fixed Equipment Inspectors at the Chevron Pascagoula Refinery. The primary role of this position is to steward the daily work of the Fixed equipment Inspectors to ensure the safe and reliable operating condition of fixed equipment within the refinery through scheduled inspections.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide coaching to inspectors for planning performing required internal and external compliance inspections.
  • Provide guidance on required equipment repairs to meet both corporate and code requirements.
  • Steward equipment reliability plans and Risk based inspection (RBI) methodology for assigned area.
  • Provide updates to both GTL and FEIM when process conditions dictate, or inspection related updates are needed.
  • Participate in design reviews for new construction and equipment to ensure it meets company and code requirements as well as Design for Reliability factors.
  • Steward shutdown and On-stream inspection input/scope planning
  • Intermittent travel with possible nights and weekend work hours based on refinery needs
  • Provide oversight for maintaining inspection data, master equipment list, records, and recommendations in the current computer-based reliability data management applications (i.e. Meridium).



Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 10 years refinery / complex facility / largescale oil and gas facilityexperience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of refinery process units operations.



Preferred Qualifications:





  • API certifications ( API -570, 510 and/or 653)
  • NBIC commission. Will consider API certifications & technical experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of refinery corrosion mechanisms
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of basic metallurgy
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic welding applications
  • Experience performing on-stream & shutdown inspections of equipment and piping.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform, interpret, and analyze Infrared Thermography
  • Demonstrated ability to perform, interpret and analyze conventional and digital radiography
  • Demonstrated strong computer skills related to maintaining Inspection Database and analyzing CM data.
  • Knowledge of fixed equipment design and maintenance practices in processing facilities
  • Knowledge of fixed equipment inspection requirements and practices, non-destructive examination technologies and interpretation and analysis of inspection data
  • Previous Supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
