We are seeking a Media Relations Specialist to join the Media Relations Division of the Corporate Communication Department.
You will be responsible for the public relations initiatives within the Company. Creating, managing, and implementing PR campaigns with the goal of enriching the Company's position within the public eye. Maintains strong relationships with media representatives.
As the successful candidate you will:
Hold a bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
Have at least 15+ years of experience as a writer in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or Media Relations, gained from either news, public relations agency or in-house communications setting, ideally in the energy, oil and gas, or chemical sectors.
Have a proven working experience in public relations.
Have a proven ability managing diverse public relations teams.
Have a proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level.
Experience in acting as a Company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews.
Exceptional writing and editing skills.
Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Have event planning experience.
Have a strong understanding of communications channels and audiences in the Middle East region.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Plan and direct public relations programs designed to create and maintain a favorable public image.
Develop company literature and other forms of communication.
Create marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic.
Copy edit, proofread, and revise communications.
Work with management to determine budget and manage expenses to that budget.
Promote Company communications objectives through public relations initiatives.
Develop communications campaigns.
Create and deliver press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, executive bios, corporate newsletter content, social media content, and speaking proposals.
Identify, develop, and execute communications strategy to meet corporate communications objectives.
Research media coverage and industry trends.
Develop story ideas and execute them through appropriate channels to identified audiences in support of Company communications strategy.
Conduct media outreach.
Prepare briefing materials.
Coordinate Company officer's interaction at conferences, trade shows, and press interviews.
