We are seeking for an Advanced Well Completion Engineer to work with the Production and Facilities Production Department under the Petroleum Engineering & Development Admin Area.
The Advanced Well Completion Engineering Specialist will be a member of a team that is tasked to stream oil and gas Advanced Well Completion trial tests for on-shore and offshore wells in the areas of Active Inflow control (Intelligent) Completions, Passive Inflow Control Devices (ICD), Reservoir monitoring Devices, and Sand Control. Participate with the team engineers in specific tasks and studies such as new field developments, new technology trial tests as well as in the company engineering standard review and the development of young professionals.
The successful candidate should hold a bachelor degree in engineering, preferably in Petroleum Engineering is. MSc or PhD is desirable, but not required.
Minimum of 12 years' experience in a petroleum engineering organization with a minimum of 10 years in advanced well completion related work.
Extensive experience in Active Inflow Control systems with good level of familiarity with passive Inflow Control systems, Sand Control completions, reservoir monitoring as well as zonal isolation equipment.
It is desirable to have reservoir or production engineering experience to supplement the above.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:
Trial test new advanced well completion technologies.
Provide technical support to designing advanced well completions corporate wide.
Apply safety related issues and address environmental impact issues.
Perform near wellbore simulations in NETool, Pipesim, Prosper and similar software.
Analyze results of the simulations and recommend optimum conditions.
Able to look at alternatives, perform economic analysis and identify the most cost-effective alternative.
