Position Summary

Responsible for General Ledger accounting, including: posting entries, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and various AP / AR responsibilities. Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information, and prepare financial schedules by compiling information, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.

Major Roles & Responsibilities


  • Process and reconcile all inter-company invoices and payments. This includes following Head Office month-end reconciliation and payment procedures
  • Reconcile and update the monthly balance sheet roll-forward files
  • Accounts Receivable responsibilities:
    • Upload and reconcile sales data from invoicing system to the accounting system
    • Post manual sales invoices
    • Post inter-department invoices


  • Accounts Payable responsibilities:
    • Maintain employee data and expense reports in the Concur online expense report database
    • Upload expense report details into the accounting system from Concur
    • Assist with accurate and timely processing of accounts payable vouchers to serve as a backup within the department
    • Understand the company Purchase Order process to serve as a backup within the department
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
  • Work on special projects and cross train in other accounting functions, as required.


Other Responsibilities:



  • Communicate internationally with BV employees at other locations for confirmation of intercompany transactions
  • Responsible for all month end intercompany reconciliation procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities



  • Self Motivated and self managed with high degree of honesty and integrity
  • Must possess excellent accounting, financial and bookkeeping skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel knowledge required
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Possess an energetic commitment to work and quality.
  • International experience: previously dealt with a global business model, a plus


Experience and Educational Background Required for the Job



  • 4 year degree in Accounting
  • 1-2 of related experience
  • JD Edwards experience a plus
