Role Summary:

The Workday Time and Absence Configurator, on the Digital Technologies Human Resources (HR) Applications Team, coordinates, designs, builds, and implements Workday-enabled time and absence solutions. The successful candidate must function as an expert in Time-related topics and demonstrate the ability to effectively implement time and absence solutions across Baker Hughes.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Senior Workday Product Manager, you will:
  • Regularly engage and support key stakeholders through all phases of projects, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday Absence and/or Time Tracking solution
  • Leverage your expertise to recommend the best solution based on the requirements, budget, and time frame; with the flexibility to adapt the scope as additional needs are identified
  • Work alongside the integration team to test integrations between the Workday solution and the payroll providers

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance, or Human Resources from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 3 years of Workday Time Tracking and Absence implementation or support experience

Eligibility Requirement:
  • Workday Time Tracking and Absence Certification

Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience as a Workday Time and Absence Configuration Consultant
  • Deep knowledge of Time and Absence functional processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Absence Plans, Time Entry Templates, Time Calculations, Time Entry Codes, Eligibility Rules, Accrual Calculations, Business Processes, Custom Reports, Calculated Fields, and EIBs
  • Strong understanding of union rules and state labor laws, with direct union experience and multiple state and/or global time tracking experience or strong understanding of accrual rules as it relates to vacation policies, including accrual in advance, accrual derived from hours worked, and accrual based on length of service, highly desired
  • Demonstrated knowledge of leaves, including FMLA, STD, LTD, and Military Leave
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff across multiple departments to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and understand specific requirements for system enhancements and fixes
  • Experience with Kronos, SAP Time Management, or SAP Cross Application Time Sheet (CATS) a plus
  • Self-starter - requires minimal direction to accomplish goals
