We are recruiting for an experienced Stores Team Leader to lead a team of Stores personnel (5 individuals) within our Aberdeen Operations and ensure the efficient stock handling & storage of products.

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

  • Relevant previous experience in a stores environment.
  • Relevant previous experience in a team leading role.
  • Working to the following standards :-

Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

  • Team Leading VQ Level 2
  • Current RTITB Forklift Certificate

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Ensure goods are:
  • Picked in a timely manner and in accordance with relevant picking documents and procedures.
  • Packed in a professional manner and in accordance with Hydrasun packing standards and customer requirements.
  • Stored in a manner that both protects the goods and makes them accessible when required.
  • Ensure all picking is accurate and free of defects.  Investigate and resolve the common causes of error.
  • Ensure all product picking, packing and despatch activities are completed safely and in accordance with Hydrasun Safety Management System.
  • Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with the Hydrasun Quality Management System.
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing ways of working.
  • Interact with customers in a positive and professional manner.
  • Provide appropriate & timely feedback should there be any issues with meeting customers demands.
  • Ensure the Stores areas are maintained in safe and effective order, and that all equipment is regularly inspected and maintained.
  • Resolve conflicts of priority, including, where necessary, escalation to the Stores and Logistics Supervisor.
  • Ensure that direct reports are appraised in line with the Company's Performance Review Process in a timeous manner.
  • Carry out routine weekly safety inspection audits.
  • Conduct a daily walk-around throughout areas of responsibility to determine any issues of concern.
  • Motivate, develop and encourage each team member to achieve their objectives.
  • Work overtime (if required) to ensure organisational or client deadlines are met.
  • Provide holiday and absence cover within other departments, as required.
  • Manage staff in line with HR Policy and Procedures.
