The outline of the role is:

Client are looking for someone skilled in subsea product design development and detail draughting, combined with a working knowledge of offshore equipment handling, operational sequences and stack-ups.

As a key member of their engineering team the Designer-Draughtsperson will support the design and development of our products, bespoke solutions and the creation of detail, assembly and schematic drawings.

Additional duties include:

• Creating new 2D layouts and 3D CAD models

Providing support and guidance to more junior draughting personnel

Experience/Skills required:

• Minimum HNC with 5 years mechanical engineering experience; ideally with 2 years in the oil and gas industry

• Proficient in 2D draughting (ACAD) and 3D CAD modelling and draughting (ideally in SolidWorks)

Experience in:

* Offshore equipment handling/deck layouts

* Equipment stackups/operational sequences

* Design of machined and fabricated components

* Detailing with dimensional and geometric tolerancing

* Using industry standards

This is a salaried position and the contract is for a fixed term of 12 months.
