This position supports Halliburton's Athlon product service line.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Chemical Account Manager is responsible for providing technical assistance and service at assigned territory accounts to enhance the productivity of the Athlon team and maintain customer satisfaction while continuing to build sales and technical skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act safely in all aspects of the job, including the operation and maintenance of the company provided vehicle and compliance with all Athlon and customer site specific safety policies.
  • Provide and document onsite service to assigned accounts
  • Competent at evaluating customer laboratory results, recommending chemical feed rates, maintaining product inventories.
  • Diagnose, repair or adjust chemical feed equipment and be able to provide basic training to customers in these techniques.
  • Good Interpersonal skills with colleagues, customers, and management
  • Competent at adjusting chemical dosages and recommending customer operational changes when necessary
  • Maintain close contact with territory management regarding account activity, customer needs, pricing concerns, competitor activity and product efficacy.
  • Upon attaining the required level of technical competency and sales skills, assume both the sales and service responsibilities within the assigned territory, including the documentation of value provided to the customer and development and execution of sales plans.
  • Competent at handling all projects from the identification stage through data collection and implementation
  • Ability to communicate well to all internal and external customers
  • Contribute to the territory's team development by mentoring field representatives and younger Technical Rep's
  • Good understanding of all unit processes for assigned accounts
  • Complete required Athlon training and documentation on time
  • Competent understanding of the Athlon product line
  • Good understanding of the Athlon sales culture, i.e. ability to identify customer needs, offer possible solutions, generate proposals, and handle obstacles

 


JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Requires completion of high school diploma and minimum of 8 years of experience in the Production Chemical business.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is highly preferred.
