The job will be part of International Sites and Card (IS&C) of Downstream and Chemicals IT. IS&C manage, deploy, and support IT Retail and Card Systems that enable our retail business and card marketing operations in Asia Pacific region. Supported systems include Point of Sale, Back Office and Head Office Systems, Card and Payment and mobile application. The role will benefit from broad exposure to business partners and learning critical business processes of the different retail and card operations in Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities for this position may include:
  • Resolves and debugs system issues; acts as escalation point and conducts deeper level of investigation and works with service providers for resolution.
  • Supports IT projects by working closely with SMEs, PMO, In-Country Retail Automation (RA) in the planning, deployment, deriving system requirement specification based on business need that gets translated to IT specifications. Understands business use of technology.
  • Creates user stories and reviews business and technical specifications with the BU and vendor.
  • Integrates and tests diverse systems, sub systems, networks, and servers to optimize performance.
  • Develops solutions and workarounds using programming languages e.g., C#, Java, VBScript, VBA, Batch Command line, SQL, HTML
  • Helps design business processes around software application functionality
  • Leads and facilitates business and technical discussions with remote stakeholders and SMEs across the region including executive level project sponsors.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics or other relevant fields.
  • At least 5+ years' experience with technical and/or business knowledge in 2 or more areas e.g., retail site systems, payment systems, mobile app, testing and integration, business analysis,production support with good overarching understanding on retail petroleum marketing and store systems.
  • Critical thinking skills for framing, analysis, and synthesis of complex issues.
  • Ability to tailor business processes to adapt to application functionality and processes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement; proactively collaborates with external and internal customers
  • Technical writing - Being able to communicate complex ideas, status of issues and changes in a clear way (oral and written) to all levels of staff across the org.
  • Ability to do low code, develop and understand programming languages e.g., C#, VBScript, VBA, SQL, HTML is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic networking, security protocols, and MS Azure Cloud is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Secure File Transfer Protocol (sFTP) used for exchanging data and experience in SQL Database queries and table is preferred.
  • Independent, organized and multi-tasker. Ability to work effectively and proactively in a multi-functional setting
  • Detail oriented with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models and technologies.
  • Can effectivelycope withchange; can shift gears comfortably; can deal with ambiguous situations.
