Under general supervision,

  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must have a valid driver license.
  • The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.
  • Ability to work 24 hour call and respond to call outs within one hour
  • Skills are typically acquired through an Associate's degree or similar education and 6-12 months experience as a Downhole Mechanical Tech I or equivalent tool technician training or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Military training may be substituted for this minimum requirement.
  • Ability to locate, read and understand tool drawing and schematics from PSL-specific Tool Manual.
  • Assembles and disassembles down-hole tools. Identifies tool usage sheet and determines maintenance schedule required
  • Performs maintenance, inspection and electronic troubleshooting on down-hole tool electronics and other equipment used in the application for down-hole tools.
  • Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization.
  • Adheres to HSE guidelines, Safety training compliance including Job risk assessments.
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check.

 


Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and /or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available including up to a Electrical/Mechanical Tech II, or a Electrical/Mechanical Tech III.
