Role Summary:

The Billing SME will demonstrate leadership in communication and in data compilation to support the billing process across all Baker Hughes. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Billing SME, you will:


  • Lead collaboration and discussion across all business to build out a current state framework (process mapping). This role with work with several functions, including finance, strategic sourcing, procurement, material management, logistics/warehousing, AMO, and manufacturing.
  • Deliver and execute competitive and strategic process enhancements to improve billing accuracy, cycle time, and cross-coverage support.
  • Be accountable for broad billing-related objectives. In this role, the Billing SME will be involved in continuous improvement planning and execution. This will include partnering with the business to transform the process in order to eliminate the sources of defects.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Excellence, Business Transformation, and across region(s) to ensure alignment; leverage and share best practices to drive one culture and one operating system
  • Facilitate, train, and coach team members in the use of continuous improvement tools
  • Communicates recommendations and solutions across the organization, including senior leadership
  • Leads, performs and monitors the changes in process, policy and procedure
  • Performs various internal audits, as requested




  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited college or university or equivalent knowledge/experience
  • Some experience in process improvement
