Role Summary:

The Electrical Engineer role provides diverse work responsibilities and an opportunity to learn many different branches within the manufacturing test engineering team, including new product development, existing product sustaining, and manufacturing test engineering support. In this role you will develop robust automated test solutions, leveraging existing technologies, promoting standardization & reliability/process efficiency. The skills that are gained from working in a manufacturing capacity can be applied to almost every role later in a career. The individual will be working with a highly experienced team of electrical engineer experts providing ample training and mentoring.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Electrical Engineer, you will:
  • Analyze analog and digital circuits to ensure they meet specifications and/or to find root cause of defects
  • Design necessary test fixtures and tooling for new products and supporting existing product fixtures
  • Develop tests for new products, document process changes, drive process and test fixture improvements, drive lead and cycle time improvements, improve cost of quality
  • Engage in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a variety of projects and timelines
  • Implement circuit card designs that interface to firmware, hardware and software
  • Be responsible for working with manufacturing technicians to troubleshoot manufacturing test and fixtures
  • Responsible for engineering designs and technical data are complete and documented to provide an accurate technical / historical base for future reference and to meet customer and end user requirements
  • Be responsible for interfacing with technology engineering on new project development ensuring they are integrated into the manufacturing production process meeting all critical manufacturability requirements
  • Support / redesign existing products to use newer components and fix defects
  • Bring innovative ideas and positive support to current processes and procedures with a goal of continual improvement
  • Be able to work collaboratively with global teams, including time-zone flexibility

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 1 years of Electrical Engineering experience, class work / projects acceptable

Desired Characteristics:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital and analog circuity
  • Demonstrated ability to work amongst diverse teams with cross functionality
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex ideas to various audiences
  • Experience with National Instruments LadView, TestStand, and PXI Equipment
  • Experience using hardware debugging tools: oscilloscopes, multi-meters, function generators, etc.
  • Experience in embedded systems and/or programming object-oriented code C/C++/C#
  • Knowledge using mechanical CAD Software
  • Knowledge in manufacturing automation
  • Knowledge of and experience with the Bently Nevada product line
