Role Summary:

The 24/7 UK Service Support Engineer job will perform the following two roles:


  • Global SONDEX Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • UK-based 24/7 Service Support Engineer (24/7SE)

  • Both roles provide direct support to the Field Operations, Product Development, Direct Sales, Supply Chain, Central Product Line Management, Training & Development teams.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    As the Global SONDEX Systems and Services - SME:
    • Respond all BKR field operations service support requests related to SONDEX systems and services, regardless of how they are submitted
    • Provide on-demand technical support to the BKR technology centers on SONDEX operations aspects
    • Support the resolution of applications or geoscience SONDEX systems and services related issues
    • Support the resolutions of issues related to supply chain and manufacturing of SONDEX equipment
    • Support the Product Manager and Product Champion in development projects and new SONDEX service deployments
    • Extensive experience with the planning and execution of wireline jobs that include the use of SONDEX logging and well intervention tools
    • Formal training in the operations and applicability of SONDEX logging and well intervention tools
    • Fully proficient on the English language
    • Proficient user of computers and MS Office software
    • Major experience in the oil and gas service industry
    • College or equivalent degree on science or an engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge or experience
    • Preferably with long international assignments history
    • Preferable with a degree or formal training on reservoir engineering subjects
    Desired Characteristics:
    • Willing to work flexible schedule and travel at short notice
    • Self-driven and capable of prioritizing tasks/time/travel
    • Good communicator and presenter
    • Capable of working alone as well as in small teams
