The Senior Project Manager for Subsea Controls will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will drive strategic projects, involving stakeholders across the organization, from various functions. You are ultimately responsible for reaching strategic milestones (for development, product launch and shipping readiness) on multi-year new product development projects.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Lead New Technology and New Product Introduction projects (NTI & NPI) for Subsea Drilling Controls
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of internal business processes (materials ordering, tracking, manufacturing, etc.) in order to assess capabilities and leverage opportunities to drive improvements in project delivery
  • Engage with senior leadership, establish and drive project operating rhythm, while setting and completing key milestones
  • Coordinate and synchronize the efforts of engineering, manufacturing, sourcing and other required cross functional support to facilitate successful completion of project deliverables on time and with-in budget
  • Leverage common project management tools (MS Project, risk register, scenario planning, budget and forecasting tools, etc.) to track, manage and improve project performance
  • Be responsible for Toll Gate execution including coordinating, preparing and presenting to executive management team
  • Be responsible for all aspects of assigned projects including schedules, financials, deliverables, coordinating resources, establishing priorities, status tracking, performance metrics, communication and reporting to key stakeholders
  • Mentor and assist junior project managers to facilitate accomplishment of projects other than their own assigned projects
  • Assist as needed in the long term planning and execution of strategic functional and department goals and objectives
  • Demonstrate the ability to make impartial decisions, analyze and define next steps, and provide recommendations as necessary to stakeholders and senior leadership

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Leadership or related cross functional role
  • Experience working with mechanical engineering product projects

Desired Characteristics:
  • PMP Certification is desired
  • Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math related field
