Role Summary:

The Workday Configuration Lead, on the Digital Technologies Human Resources (HR) Applications Team, manages the day-to-day activities of Workday Configuration Team. The ideal candidate collaborates with business stakeholders to identify and resolve system issues; pursues opportunities for increased efficiency; acts as a Techno-Functional SME; and is involved in all Workday-enabled processes.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Workday Configuration Lead, you will:
  • Coordinate, prioritize, and delegate configuration enhancement requests and break-fix activities to the Workday Configuration team members as necessary.
  • Prioritize work to ensure maximum productivity in meeting both project-related work and production support goals
  • Ensure configuration processes are documented and controls for system changes are in place and adhered to
  • Manage support tickets ensuring thorough, timely work and compliance with documentation procedures in ticket tracking system
  • Contribute to Change Advisory Board meetings and ensure change management principles are applied
  • Engage and direct third party vendor support for Workday
  • Conduct lessons learned and document for future projects
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 3 years of team leadership experience
  • Minimum 3 years of project experience in a HR technical or techno-functional role on one or more ERP implementation projects

Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience as a Workday Configuration Consultant
  • Deep knowledge of Human Resource functional processes
  • General knowledge of at least two of the following Workday HR modules: Recruitment, Core HR, Compensation, Talent, and Time and Absence
  • Knowledge of all phases of system development lifecycle, including production support
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, respond quickly to emergent problems, and to focus both on long-range projects and immediate tasks required to maintain system functionality
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff across multiple departments to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and understand specific requirements for system enhancements and fixes
  • Self-starter - requires minimal direction to accomplish goals
  • Strong customer service focus and responsiveness
  • Strong analytical skills, interpretive and evaluative skills
  • Flexible with creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills across multiple threads of work streams
  • Ability to work well with local and global teams
