Role Summary:

The Project Technician will be part of the assigned team assisting the Project Manager, Engineers and Engineering Technicians. Working under direct supervision, this will involve liaising with various departments to ensure projects are executed in line with schedule, budget and quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Reporting directly to the Engineering Managers
  • Coordinate Project related "fit-up tests", either within factory or at a Subcontractors facility
  • Assist with the generation of project documentation up to the level as directed by Approvals matrix
  • Support Project team in the preparation of BOM's within the Team Centre system.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing Supervision in relation to Project specific equipment and /or activities
  • Interface with Senior/Lead Engineers and/or Engineers to assist in the response to technical queries from the client or his nominated representative, Vendors and SCM group.
  • Generate shipping manifests and packaging documentation and close co-ordination with warehouse technicians
  • Coordinate load out requirements and offshore support
  • Work with and supervise Subcontractors (and/or Client Inspectors) whilst on site undertaking project related duties
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the Engineering Managers

  • ONC in an Engineering discipline or equivalent as a minimum
  • Proven Track Record in an Engineering environment
  • Previous exposure to clients and/or subcontractors would be advantageous but not essential
  • Working knowledge of the offshore industry is preferred but not essential

  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal, written and numerical skills
  • Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
  • Ability to work without close supervision and the ability to plan daily workload is required
