Role Summary:

Baker Hughes is currently hiring a Lead Accounting Operations Analyst NAM based in Houston, Texas.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the accuracy and quality of the financial reporting for the region ensuring proper monitoring mechanisms on the Balance Sheet, revenue recognition and controls
  • Liaise with technical controllership and regional commercial finance organizations around operationalization and compliance of different revenue models under ASC 606
  • Partner with TPS HQ, Regions and Global Accounting to ensure excellence of operational processes including statutory and tax filing, audit processes and account reconciliations
  • Lead Documentation of Internal Controls and Compliance under SOX 404 for the region
  • Partner with external auditors ensuring local stat and US GAAP compliance as well as simplify auditing procedures
  • Special Projects


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or relevant discipline
  • 5+ years of related finance/accounting experience
  • Advanced MS Excel & Power point skills for data analysis and reporting


Desired Characteristics:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • Experience with an ERP system (Oracle/SAP/HFM) preferred
  • Strategic mind set, self-motivated, good communication skills
  • Analytical skill set, comfortable with financial statements
