Role Summary:

The Process and Pipeline Services, In-line Inspection group is looking for a Team Leader (m/f/d) Mechanical Component to join our team in Stutensee - Germany. This will be a unique opportunity to join a cross discipline team working with state-of-the-art technologies in the energy industry.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the mechanical engineering teams in Stutensee and Cramilington
  • Continuously develop team, propose training plans and execute upon approval
  • Ensure all compliance requirements are met
  • Support engineering manager in resource planning, gathering of resource demands, assigning and monitoring project tasks within team
  • Support project planning, cost estimation and generation of commercial proposals on request
  • Generate proposals to increase efficiency and/or general process improvements
  • Generate and/or check documented procedures, best practices and work instructions
  • Ensure design and documentation quality standards are met
  • Foster standardization and re-use
  • Perform developments tasks in specific projects
  • Perform Project Technical Lead role for specific projects on request
  • Participate in design reviews
  • Support or lead RCAs
  • Facilitate the assembly and test of components, sub-systems as necessary


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering
  • Significant engineering, design and management/leader experience
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in use of MS Office
  • Proficient in use of CREO
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of project management practices
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Demostrated ability leading a team efficiently and motivating a team
  • Embraces Baker Hughes cultural pillars
  • Significant experience with ILI technology preferred
  • Ability to travel regularly to Cramlington (approximately 1 week every 6-8 weeks)
  • Ability to act in a fast-changing environment
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure
