Role Summary:

The Senior BD/M&A Manager at Baker Hughes is a key team member in the development and execution of strategy and transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures. The position will be focused on the Digital Solution division within Baker Hughes and will cover inorganic strategy, origination and execution reporting to the M&A Executive for Baker Hughes Digital Solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Strategy: Help develop inorganic growth strategy within Baker Hughes Digital Solutions
  • Origination: Identify and select inorganic opportunities, including review of target companies (company analysis, market and industry analysis and evaluation of commercial strategy and operation execution)
  • Execution: Evaluate and structure potential opportunities and deals
  • Execution: Lead transaction process with cross functional teams; internal opportunity review, valuation, due diligence, contract negotiation and early identification of integration issues and integration complexity
  • Communicate on a regular basis with the deal teams regarding ongoing projects and actively seek advice and guidance from leadership where appropriate
  • Manage internal stakeholder relationships
  • Interface, as needed, with external parties such as investment banks, legal firms, consultants, accountants, etc.


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Engineering or Business degree
  • Experience leading acquisition and merger processes and activities, with an emphasis on final stage deal experience
  • Relevant experience within an investment bank, accounting or investment firm
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with great influencing and negotiating skills
  • Strong analytical skills with background in finance and accounting
  • Availability to travel extensively
