Role Summary:

The Sr. Staff Software Architect - Salesforce will liaison with Baker's Salesforce platform team and other Enterprise IT product teams to transform, deliver and evolve the Service Delivery Product to manage Job Center. Combined with their previous experience in technical architecture, enterprise integration, and business solution implementation, the Sr. Staff Software Architect - Salesforce will drive the best possible business solution that meets and exceeds our customers' needs while maintaining compliance with regulatory and Salesforce standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Sr. Staff Software Architect, you will:
  • Contribute to a product vision while advising and articulating strategies on enabling technologies, all within a multi-tenant Salesforce org environment
    Lead the technical design and implementation of App exchange product in Salesforce Lightning including integrations with key systems
  • Provide mentorship to junior team member
  • Provide guidance on application and integration development best practices, enterprise architecture standards, functional and technical architecture and design, environment management, testing, and Salesforce platform education
  • Recommend solutions that are configuration first, with Lightning components and APEX coding as limited non-preferred options
  • Drive the creation of application and technical design standards which use best practices and effectively integrate the Solution into Baker Hughes's Org and infrastructure
  • Tackle implementation issues and demonstrate ability to work towards successful resolution
  • Lead the evaluation of business and technical requirements from a senior level, recommending solutions from a business and technical view
  • Lead all aspects of the development of custom applications using APEX, JavaScript, Visual Force, AJAX, HTML, CSS
  • Plan releases and roadmaps from Salesforce and evaluate the impacts to Job center application
  • Identify and proactive management of risk areas and see issues through to complete resolution
  • Negotiate solutions to complex problems while building key relationships


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Salesforce solution design, implementation and/or maintenance

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Travel 30% of the time, as required

Desired Characteristics:
  • Salesforce Admin certification and/or other Salesforce certifications
    Certificates in Salesforce Admin, Advanced Admin, Platform App Builder, Technical Architect, Platform Developer, Data Architect, System Architect
  • Extensive hands-on technical and solution architecture and engineering experience with the Salesforce Lightning Platform, demonstrating positions of growing responsibility and management / mentoring of more junior technical resources
  • Ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration, including leadership in guiding customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technology for business use cases
  • Thorough understanding of web services, data modeling, and enterprise application integration concepts, including experience with enterprise integration tools (SBs and/or ETL tools), and common integration design patterns with enterprise systems (e.g. CMS, ERP, HRIS, DWH / DM)
  • Thorough understanding of integration concepts, methodologies, and technologies; functional knowledge of MuleSoft or similar Enterprise Service Bus technologies
  • Experience in SFDC APIs, SOSL, SOQL, SOAP or REST based web services, SQL, XML, and JavaScript
  • Experience with building and maintaining Custom Objects, and integrating Salesforce with external systems
  • Demonstrably excellent, context-specific and adaptive communication and presentation skills across a variety of audiences and situations; established habit of proactive thinking and behavior and the desire and ability to self-start / learn and apply new technologies
  • Experience working on projects using the Agile methodology
    Proven knowledge of the capabilities and features of Service Cloud and Sales Cloud
