Role Summary:

The Quality Control Leader demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Lead the site Quality Control activities, including but not limited to: a. Incoming, in-process, and final inspection b. Gage calibration program c. Non-destructive testing processes
  • Lead the Customer/Third party Inspection activities for the site
  • Lead the site Non-conformance reviews to evaluate and facilitate disposition of Non-conformances as quickly as possible with cross-functional team
  • Plan, organize, implement and direct the application of assigned human and material resources to assure delivery of products and/or services that meets established requirements and fulfills customers' needs and expectations
  • Maximize the use of assigned resources to assist BHGE in meeting its quality, schedule and profit objectives
  • Establish goals, work plans, and budgets such that lowest cost and highest quality results are achieved
  • Assure that unit activities comply with all applicable government regulations and contract requirements
  • Assure audit of areas of responsibility for conformance to quality plans, systems, and requirements
  • Analyze product losses, material review activity, manufacturing costs and maintain programs to meet objectives
  • Provide quality plans to monitor and report quality delays, control and monitor significant out of tolerance gages
  • Ability to link Valve Calibration failure mode to Valve Accessory mechanical linkages, root cause analysis & drive corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain a communication plan to provide employees with adequate information concerning business goals and objectives
  • Establish the climate that encourages an open two-way channel of communication whereby employees exchange ideas / suggestions and share information
  • Work closely with Site Functional leaders including Quality Assurance Leader and Plant Manager to drive culture and accountability of Quality within the work station
  • Be a change agent and influencer for improvement in areas of decreasing escaping defects, improving product quality and culture, customer inspections, on time delivery & functional productivity
  • Coach and mentor a team of Quality control personnel

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • At least 5 years of experience in Quality System Planning and Quality Improvement methods and instrument testing experience from a manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge on Wiring harness, Connectors & Terminals, Relays, Analog & HART Communication, I/P Converter, Pneumatics

Desired Characteristics:
  • Knowledge of F&PT product line is preferred
  • Hands on experience with testing equipment, instrumentations
  • Additional leadership experience in the areas of Operations, Manufacturing, or Quality is preferred
  • Executive level presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in all customer service areas
  • Responsible for meeting customer/business needs as well as developing direct reports
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
