Job Description:

Baker Hughes seeks to fill a position in the Oilfield Services business segment, based in Houston. The position is PDM manager within the CTO organization. Candidate will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, he/she will integrate and develop product development and management processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in training and adoption of the process, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the implementation and evolution of tools and processes to deliver consistent and unified approach to PDM
  • Responsible to develop/ update process documents/ standards/ templates for RD/ TD & PD
  • Deliver technical excellence in the support of technology development process, process qualification and issues resolution
  • Responsible for the rigor and rhythm around process adoption and key metrics associated with process governance across R&D
  • Collaborate with Product Line and cross functional groups in driving innovation cycle time and support improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with functional representatives in Supply Chain, Quality, Legal & IP, Commercial on process efficiencies and updates
  • Coordinate FastWorks adoption and growth
  • Manage product financial metrics
  • Lead implementation and adoption of the product development Clarity PPM/ Innovation Machine efficiencies
  • Responsible to coordinate efforts on QMS audits of the PDM process
  • Responsible for training and development of the PDM process
  • Accountable for securing and reporting KPI delivery for the team
  • Accountable for accuracy of the project data in IMAC
  • Acts as focal point and owner of PDM process
  • Responsible for engineering communications and team briefs on PDM process
  • Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Health Safety and Environmental policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values
  • Assimilates and navigates the implications of any regulatory trends and the rigors with all regulations.

Essential Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree within appropriate Engineering/Science discipline
  • Minimum 10 years plus experience in technology, product management, program management, quality
  • Proven technical and business acumen in any of the product lines
  • Product Line / Regional P&L exposure
  • Proven customer relationship skills
  • Proven business development skills
  • Proven project management experience
  • Travel required (>25%)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Proven experience on managing the design & development of products/ solutions
  • Strong coaching expertise and demonstrated success in working across business functions
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation. Proven analytical and organizational ability
  • Demonstrated LEAN skills
  • Familiarity with ISO, API and other regulatory standards
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Project)
