Position Summary

Maintain timely payment of open accounts, and review records and transactions associated with Accounts Receivable and Collections

Major Roles & Responsibilities

  • Contact clients via telephone, fax, or email, on a daily basis to ensure payments are made in full and on time
  • Enforce BV Credit Hold Policy
  • Maintain BV Lab databases for clients on credit hold and/or inactive accounts
  • Account reconciliation as needed to include use of Excel, Word and Flex/JDE
  • Research and resolve Miscellaneous Cash Receipts
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Possess knowledge of the department's office procedures and equipment
  • Ability to grasp and retain knowledge of new systems, processes and equipment
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills - Lotus notes, MS Office (Excel and Word)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented, strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Commitment to BV core values
  • Possess an energetic commitment to work and quality
  • Ability to work well and multi-task in a fast paced, high pressure environment

Experience and Educational Background Required for the Job

  • High School Degree or equivalent with at least 2 years relevant Collections experience
