  • Direct all drilling related operations as required on the rig, reporting directly to the Superintendent in KL office
  • Review, implement and recommend changes to the drilling and completion program and work instructions
  • Recommend to hire and dismiss third party vendors as required to enhance the operation
  • Supervise all drilling fluids related components of drilliing, testiing, completions and logistic offshore
  • Review current operational practice; ensure compliance with international standard and industry best practice with respect to fluids and solids control management
  • Manage third party suppliers and equipment & service providers (examples listed below) to ensure their optimum performance relatedd to drilling/completion fluids
  • A) Drilling Fluids chemicals and base oil suppiers
  • B) Solid controls equipment and services
  • Wellbore clean - up equipment and services
  • Managed pressure drilling equipment and services
  • Advise on specialist drilling techniques to reduce drilling fluid losses, ECD management; fracture gradient analysis, Manager Pressure Drilling
  • Ensure all operation offshore are carried out in a safe and expedient manner
  • Day to day supervision of offshore mud consultants on all issues offshore in regards to all drilling, testing, completion fluids and logistics
  • Day to day communications with Senior Drilling Supervisor and technical solving problems offshore
  • Record and improve on drilling procedures
  • Keep a written record of all lessons learned and implement to future drilling programs
  • Stay up to date with new developments in the industry with respect to mud, solids control and wellbore clean up, suggesting new technology as appropriate in order to future optimise the operations
