Role Summary:

As a Commercial Operations Specialist located either in Houston or in Oklahoma City, you will work with the Technology Ventures team to launch new incubated commercial businesses in the energy industry. You will directly work with the Technology Ventures COE team and focus on high-quality commercial operations for all of the Technology Ventures Portfolio.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Commercial Operations Specialist, you will:

 

  • Support the businesses across the full range of operational duties
  • Focus on driving and managing a strong, quality commercial operations infrastructure for Baker Hughes Technology Ventures, working directly with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and the Ventures leaders themselves
  • Focus on (but not limited to) creating proposals, communicating with customers, finalizing strategies for strong commercial and legal terms in all agreements, and ensuring all transaction - both executed and prospective - are in the highest quality and flexibility to create value and acceptable outcomes for both parties
  • Be part of a senior team working on technology, commercial, and customer-facing development projects, typically involving strategy development and implementation across several global teams


Qualifications/Requirements:

 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business and / or a "STEM" major (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 3 years of corporate commercial operations experience


Eligibility Requirements:

 

 

  • Travel 10% of the time, as required, including internationally


Desired Characteristics:

 

 

  • Proficient with MS Excel and Power Point
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Industrial / technology work experience of 5 years or more
  • Proficient written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Detail oriented and demonstrated ability to develop technical requirements based upon proactive analysis of customer needs
  • Demonstrated ability to work in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments
  • Experience in oil and gas industry and familiarity with unconventional oil & gas asset technologies
  • Experience in Oil & Gas Industry applications
  • Effective teaming and problem-solving abilities with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to think customer-first and effectively prioritize and pivot as required
