Job Description

The Prelude FLNG facility is stationed approximately 450 km North of North East of Broome, Western Australia, in Australian Commonwealth Ocean waters of 250 meters depth. It is one of the first of its kind, comprising of sub-sea wells tied back to a Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) facility, which encompasses gas processing and liquefied through to LNG/LPG/Condensate storage and offloading, with the requisite supporting marine and utilities facilities. It is Shell Development Australia's first operating asset.

What is the role?

Shell's Prelude FLNG is an operating asset on its journey to stable operations. We are adding capacity into the business to help us achieve this and ensure our focus remains on a facility that is safe, robust, reliable and with high availability to enable continuous, stable LNG production.

We are looking for a capable and credible leader to manage the campaign team based in Perth to support the Prelude FLNG asset.

Reporting to the Major Maintenance Manager, the Campaign Coordinator is a key member of the Shell team supporting the Prelude FLNG asset. In this role one of your key accountabilities is to oversee the planning, preparation and ultimately execution of all scope related to the Prelude asset. As a safety leader you will ensure that campaign activities are safe, efficient and in accordance with approved systems, processes and standards in line with the Safety and Operation management systems. As a people leader you will drive competency-based development in the development of staff to sustain resources to meet business requirement.

One of the key accountabilities of this role is to be the interface management with all Shell disciplines onshore and offshore (such as Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Services); as well as managing the relationship with our key execution contractors. This requires your leadership to ensure all campaigns related to Prelude activities, including planning, scheduling, execution, review and feedback are carried out effectively and efficiently. You will have financial acumen to manage, monitor and control of budgets.

Another key activity for this role is to manage contracts and drive cost management initiative effectively for instance supporting the development of the contracting strategy for campaigns with Major Maintenance Manager and Contract and Procurement department.

Crucial to the success of this role is the ability to work collaboratively and lead effectively across multi-functional teams and interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, based in various locations, and being able to work autonomously.

What we need from you:

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • An excellent safety record
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering discipline (or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven track record in successful delivery of campaigns or Turnaround scopes in a major refinery or gas processing facility, ideally with relevant Offshore experience
  • Previous experience in Production Operations and/or Maintenance Execution with strong understanding of key Processes - MIE, IAP, MOC, Produce Hydrocarbons
  • Experienced HSSE leader, with detailed knowledge of personal and process safety delivery and risk management
