NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the Oil & Gas Industry. Our client, has an opportunity for a Operations Readiness Lead for a 18 Month Contract in Fort Saskatchwan .  This role is Monday-Friday so the individual must be local or have their own accomodations. 

Job Roles: 

•Provide operational requirements for design and assist in resolving design/operation differences
•Implementing Project to Asset Handover strategy, to define the project deliverables required for handover of the asset and to ensure that the operations have the capability to operate and maintain the asset from the moment of handover.
•Commissioning and Start Up strategy development.
•Participate in Health and Safety reviews - HAZOPS, Audits, Process Hazard Assessment.
•Factory and site authorized testing coordination with operations.
•Communicate with the operations training department on projects that may require an operator training program to be developed or document updating
•Review construction & project packages for completeness and operability
•Ensure required paperwork (hot tap forms, plug usage, excavations, encroachment, etc.) is in order prior to start of job
Create Operational Implementation Plans for Projects
Create Commissioning and Start Up plans for project integration


Qualifications: 

Commissioning and start up coordination experience
Operational Readiness experience
Experience working in a refinery / operational setting
Ability to influence in a non-authoritative role.
Strong communication skills
Ability to be organized and track multiple activities
Self-starter with leadership skill and ability


Preferred Quailifactions: 

Strong operational background with previous experience in a project environment would be considered an asset.
Microsoft Word / Excel proficiency
Procedure writing experience
