Job Description

To assume overall responsibility for the region in terms of development and implementation of an appropriate business strategy in order to deliver significant growth in sales and margin targets for GT Rotor products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Includes the following, other duties may be assigned as needed:
  • Preparing, owning and delivering on sales plans, forecasts & campaigns
  • Provide front line technical sales and commercial engagement with customer representatives - direct engineering link for the customer
  • To advise, promote, identify and deliver technical solutions to customers focused on GT Rotor and associated components and services 
  • Effecting negotiation and securing orders for GT Rotor products and services through effective internal liaison with tendering, technical support and commercial teams, etc
  • Preparation and scope definition of technical aspects for commercial proposals and offerings
  • Engagement and collaboration with centralised engineering/technical teams
  • Provide application/technical support on GT Rotor product to other RSM's when required
  • Regionally promoting the solutions portfolio of GT Rotor products through technical seminars and customer conferences/visits
  • Provide technical support and resolution services to regional execution teams in relation to issues arising from GT Rotor products and services
  • Providing market intelligence on opportunities, trends, price levels, competitors, etc
  • Report regularly and integrate regional activities and market/product analysis with global teams  
  • Grow the business by identifying new opportunities and channels to market whilst maintaining and developing regional agency agreements
  • Utilizing and updating the Company's 'CRM' system (SalesForce)
  • Ensuring that all applicable Company Standing Instructions, including those relating to Health and Safety, are personally complied with
  • Maintain technical library (including OEM TIL) and support training for relevant RSM's
 
Job Requirements
  • Proven track record in delivering sales growth in a complex high value product and service environment
  • Extensive experience working as a Technical GT Rotor including installation, TIL, life assessments  and associated component Sales Engineer covering GE Frame 5, 6, 7B-EA, 9E and 7FA/+/+e,
  • Excellent English language capabilities written and verbal communication ability to convey technically current rotor repair techniques and solutions
  • A safety oriented attitude that incorporates efficient work practices and environmental compliance in a manner that is conducive to profitability while protecting Company interests.
  • Extensive travel within APAC (>60%)
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field experience
  • 8 years + experience in gas turbine rotor applications and associated components
  • Knowledge and experience of gas turbine design and operation
  • Strong background using Microsoft products including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Six Sigma tools RCAs, fishbones etc.
  • Demonstrated field experience on gas turbine maintenance and inspections
  • Technical capability to gain and analyze customer data and perform accurate measurements on site
  • Knowledge and experience of gas turbine design and operation
  • Demonstrated field experience on gas turbine maintenance and inspections
