Job Summary
Monitor, support and troubleshoot rig-based applications and systems from both a software and hardware perspective. This includes but is not limited to replication, deployments, and certificate management
Liaise with IT Field Support organization to support offshore installations. Collaborate with other company's project and infrastructure teams to support development and implementation efforts on various hardware and software initiatives
Job Description

Daily monitoring of critical shared applications (replication, datamover, uaas)
On demand support of projects - collaborate with IT teams for hardware configuration, rollouts and upgrades/migrations
On demand support of projects - collaborates with projects teams for software implementation (rigs apps, AIM)
Support development teams with on-going management of development and test environments
Manage training content distribution

Minimum Education:
Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, or any other BS with equivalent computer science experience.

Minimum Experience:
5+ years experience with Windows server, SQL server (Backup/Restore, Optimization),Powershell, ISS, SSRS

Additional Skills Required:

  • General understanding of servers, networks, and ability to assist in troubleshooting.

Windows server 2008 and up.
IIS
Understanding configuration of Window Services.
DNS
TCP/IP

  • PowerShell/Batch scripting.
  • Understanding of web and client-based applications.
  • SQL server 2008 and up.

Backup/restore
SQL syntax.
Ability to optimize database structures, stored procedures, etc. (AIM).

  • Understanding concepts of Windows and SQL server migrations.
  • SSRS Report Server.
  • Understanding of replication. (SQL Merge replication for AIM).
  • Good communication skills as will need to work with rig and other groups within IT.
  • Understanding of disconnected environments.
  • Responsibilities also include ensuring rig-based software is available for use and data is moving to HQ for processing by maintenance, supply chain, accounting, and finance.
