The BH-FPT Project Sales Manager is responsible for BH - F&PT sales growth for capital projects and key accounts. The primary responsibilities are EPC account management, project pursuit, end user influence (HQ & with channel partner sites), and overall sales strategies.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Sales Manager you will:
  • Direct sales calls to Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) accounts on regular basis to understand opportunities that lead to sales activities
  • Segment & tier both EPC and HQ customers to build robust account strategies and assignments with team of direct sales managers
  • Develop strong relationships with key functions within identified strategic accounts
  • Develop robust sales opportunity pipeline for direct accounts and clearly document in CRM tools to drive operational focus and deal closure
  • Identify current and future customer requirements and communicate business opportunities to key business stakeholders including product management, supply chain, and executive P&L leadership

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution with a minimum 11 years of experience in Sales, Customer & Product Support, Marketing and/or Services within the automation industry)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in application engineering, industrial sales, or customer service with at least 3 years in a sales role

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Travel 25% of the time as required

Desired Characteristics:
  • Minimum 10 years of outside sales experience within the valve and instrumentation space
  • Intimate knowledge of local Houston and Texas marketplace
  • Strong existing customer relationships in target market
  • Deep understanding of full industrial project cycle including early engagement / influence, project quotation process, technical / commercial negotiations, project execution.
  • Track record of successful project pursuit using strategic selling techniques
  • Experience working in diverse, virtual teams
  • Experience working with the application and administration of control valves and pressure relief valves
  • Proven ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
  • Strong oral and written communication sills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Technical Negotiation skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
