Role Summary:

The Platform Operations Specialist position supports the BH Global Excellence team in defining and executing critical global initiatives to drive continuous progress toward building best-in-class business processes and Digital Platforms for BH.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Platform Operations Specialist, you will:
  • Develop strategic partnerships with key business and functional stakeholders to proactively identify synergies and simplification opportunities to drive business performance, process efficiency, and team engagement
  • Act as the functional owner for key enhancements and deployments of strategic platforms for Global Excellence
  • Partner with the BH systems teams to streamline the customer data management processes to drive data quality, process simplification, and enhanced analytics
  • Lead rollout of new systems and operating mechanisms, ensuring administrators and end users are effectively leveraging new capabilities and complying to governance policies
  • Project Manage key enhancements and deployments of strategic platforms for Global Excellence
  • Drive execution of global BH special projects and initiatives for the Global Operations organization (i.e. master data management & commercial operating mechanisms)
  • Lead execution of a global BH Data Quality & Governance program for the Global Operations organization (i.e: policy compliance, data stewardship operations, data audit activities)
  • Develop data definitions (data dictionary, taxonomies) and own maintenance through ongoing engagement with data domain owners, data stewards, and subscribing system owners
  • Partner with key business stakeholders and IT organization to design and implement strategic platform solutions
  • Multi-faceted role with responsibilities that will evolve to align to current business objectives

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Project Management
  • Minimum 2 years of experience Digital Transformation or executing Data Governance programs / policies

Desired Characteristics:
  • Preferred experience with Customer data domain
  • Ability to understand and document data flow through an end-to-end system landscape - (i.e.: source systems, data integration layers, 3rd party enrichment, consolidation, analytics and reporting platforms)
  • Strong track record of cross-functional project delivery - management of project timeline, implementation roadmap, stakeholder engagement, and go-live activities
  • Prior experience leading large-scale projects with highly matrixed global teams (internal and outsourced resources)
  • Understanding of data security frameworks and experience managing data privacy requirements
  • Working knowledge of core enterprise business applications and related processes (CRM, ERP)
  • Working knowledge of Master Data Management tools, standard processes, and industry trends
  • Ability to dive deep into business process problems and propose process and system related solutions
  • Ability to quickly gain technical understanding of new systems
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business vision into tactical execution
  • Strong business acumen
  • Oil and Gas industry expertise
  • PC proficiency (Excel, Power Point, Word, and Access)
  • Business Process Modeling proficiency (Visio or similar)
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Strong process and analytical skills
  • Experience managing global projects / programs in a large enterprise
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with Senior Management
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
