Role Summary:

Baker Hughes is currently hiring an Oilfield Services (OFS) Pressure Pumping Supplier Quality Lead in Tomball, Texas. On a typical day, but not limited to, the Supplier Quality Lead is responsible for delivering all aspects of the supplier operations quality assurance responsibilities; ensuring alignment with the Quality Management System and Quality Policy to ensure the business' products and services are fit for purpose and meet customer expectations. The Supplier Quality Lead is responsible for the approval of the Supplier Approval List (ASL).

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Execute Supplier Quality Strategy for Pressure Pumping (PP) Product Line
  • Communicate supplier quality standards across Pressure Pumping teams
  • Track supplier quality defect and incidents; perform root cause analysis; lead failure review boards and ensure implementation
  • Review and analyze historical data to identify failure trends and recommend improvement
  • Support communication between regions and locations driving quick and flawless exchange of best practices and alerts
  • Collaborate with OFS supplier quality team with vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to improve operational performance
  • Work with engineering/technology teams to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements
  • Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products
  • Support new product launches to ensure suppliers are capable of delivering to the required quality standards
  • Lead supplier quality audit, manage supplier root cause analysis, corrective actions and verification process of supplier quality issues
  • Responsible for the Supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to achieve delivery and compliance with purchasing strategy
  • Support other projects as advised by the leadership

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree from an accredited university or college with at least 2 years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality or Service Delivery (High School diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality or Service Delivery)
  • 5+ years of experience in Pressure Pumping Product Line
  • 3+ years of experience in a role that influence other and supervisor role
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
  • Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers

Desired Characteristics:
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Word). Macro, VB, InfoPath and PowerPivot a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint with understanding of workflow processes
  • Familiarity with data reporting & visualization, graphical and other statistical modeling tools
  • Familiarity with LIMS, BHOS, QMT (ASL), CAPA,
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Diligent with high level of integrity

Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00 pm

Travel - US to other international BH locations (20%-30%)
