Role Summary:

This role, based at Baker Hughes' main campus in Houston, Texas, will lead multiple teams of Senior and self-directed reports and also oversee ERP and strategic Application Security service and solution delivery via employees, staff augmentation and managed network services. This is a highly complex, global environment and experience with coordinating across teams and regions is necessary to achieve goals and manage expectations. Baker Hughes are currently engaged in significant transformational activities that involve creating new ways of doing business, applying Agile methodologies and pursuing new technologies. Experience at being a 'change agent' and being comfortable with driving solutions is essential for success.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Senior Manager ERP Security, you will:
  • Lead and manage multiple Application ERP and Strategic Application security implementation teams and end-end deliverables, adhering to Security standards and compliance
  • Create, manage resource plans for strategic / tactical forecasting, providing predictive analysis of resource demands, and requests appropriate project resources
  • Lead and mentor team members in day-day activities, project management artifacts, processes, tools and techniques
  • Continuously measure team performance to ensure the program / projects are progressing per original plan, budget through proactive management and manage conflict, issue resolution
  • Work collaboratively to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with established project methodologies, security standards and compliance and ensure seamless communication with appropriate milestone reviews
  • Actively partner, communicate with business stakeholders, IT leaders / project sponsors to manage program / project scope, risks, and issues and gain consensus on go-forward approach / plans
  • Communicate project progress, risk and mitigation (project reports) and information to project teams, project stakeholders and senior leadership. Uses subject matter expertise to articulate high-level technical status and provide status reports to the appropriate audience
  • Identify, track, and help resolve cross-portfolio dependencies and conflicts
  • Direct large scale, technical projects, and collaborates with leadership, project teams and other internal / external stakeholders
  • Ensure all project artifacts and deliverables are documented, approved, and stored for reusability, support, and audit purposes in designated project tools
  • Maintain effective partnerships with teams, vendors, managers, leaders, and stakeholders
  • Serve as the ERP Application (SAP or Oracle) Security subject matter expert and provide Proactive problem solving capabilities; develops and evaluates options and implements solutions
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining and increasing effectiveness through continuous process improvement. Ability to take a broad view of the position and take initiative to communicate, interact, and cooperate with others to ensure that all aspects of a task are addressed
  • Lead deployment of Security solutions that meet business needs while ensuring compliance with global policies, standards and SOX controls
  • Own Security Architecture strategy and methodology for ERP Application (SAP or Oracle), Strategic Application (Hyperion, Tax Apps..) access model, development, testing and deployment
  • Bring together ERP Application Technical, Functional and Support teams, Business users, Risk, Compliance and Audit groups to ensure continuity and sustainability of security architecture
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, processes and procedures ERP Applications (SAP or Oracle) systems. Support Security Audits and compliance requests
  • Drive process in the prototyping and testing of security changes in a governed manner throughout the system landscape
  • Provide thought leadership and hands-on support towards adoption of best practices while ensuring compliance in Security and Data Governance areas
  • Create and maintain required documentation including high-level architecture and design specs
  • Perform peer reviews to ensure best practices and standards, and review documentation
  • Lead stakeholder / team meetings, demonstrate confidence, control, and public speaking proficiency

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience design, implementing and maintaining ERP Application (SAP or Oracle) security concepts and strategies and operational administration.
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on ERP Application security design experience with project management including planning and executing complex projects with multiple delivery partners/business units

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Travel 10 % of the time, as required

Desired Characteristics:
  • Master's Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience design, implementing and maintaining ERP Application (SAP or Oracle) security concepts and strategies and operational administration.
  • Extensive knowledge of ERP Application (SAP or Oracle) Security, Risk Management concepts
  • Minimum 15 years of hands-on ERP Application security design experience with project management including planning and executing complex projects with multiple delivery partners/business units
  • Significant technical security ERP Application (SAP or Oracle) experience as well as a leadership position in building leading an enterprise-wide ERP project team
  • Demonstrated experience in creating, maintaining multiple large scale project team's project, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Experienced in budgeting and monitoring of projects
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, problem solve and implement / modify program / project control processes and/or metrics as needed to ensure target outcomes are achieved
  • Prior experience delivering high complex global template ERP Application (SAP or Oracle) deployments
  • Self-starter and motivator who works with minimal supervision with capability to problem-solve and devise workable solutions quickly
  • Facilitation in governance, project reviews, steering, and other project-related meetings

  • Functional knowledge of ERP Application (SAP or Oracle), GRC modules and critical access requirements
  • Demonstrates a logical and structured approach to time management and task prioritization.
  • Strong verbal, written communication skills and ability to work under pressure on strict deadline
  • Extensive experience with SOX compliance is a must. Demonstrate experience developing, improving internal controls. Make recommendations to optimize security roles to avoid SOD violations
  • Proficient with GRC tools related to access controls and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of SOD process in GRC, maintain and update rulesets and mitigating controls
  • Exposure to security architecture in SAP S/4HANA or Oracle Cloud is a plus
  • Integration with other ERP Applications (SAP or Oracle) bolt-on products is good to have
  • Familiarity with Identity Management tools, LDAP and Active Directory is good to have
  • Understanding of SNC, SAML, logon tickets and certificate management is an advantage
