The Chevron Business Support Center (BASSC), located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, is accepting online applications for the position of Software Engineer.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Consistently deliver complex, innovative and complete solutions, driving them through all phases of the software development lifecycle
    • Develop software solutions leveraging established Chevron technology standards. Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop new standards and reusable components
    • Maintain working knowledge of the latest software engineering tools and practices for continuous integration, unit tests, static and dynamic profiling, code coverage, code analysis, and automated tests.

      Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in object-oriented design and programming, fluent in Microsoft .Net and / or Java
  • Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle databases. Ability to create and modify complex queries and views
  • Ability to work effectively on teams, respecting other opinions, valuing diversity, building consensus and assisting others to accomplish team goals and objectives


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Student or B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, Ansible, Jenkins, and Azure Dev-Ops
  • Knowledge of modern solution design methods (MVC, MVVM, SPA, etc.)
  • Experience working in Agile teams (Scrum, SaFe)
  • Passionate and detailed approach to software development
  • Proficient English skills. Ability to communicate in oral and written forms
