Kintec Recruitment is currently working with an international EPC company who are seeking a Pipe Stress Engineer for a staff position to be based near the Hague.

The Pipe Stress Engineer will be responsible for performing all necessary activities related to pipe stress engineering, including but not limited to:

" Reviewing Customer technical requirements and incorporating them into project related pipe stress specifications, standards and calculation activities.
" Preparing technical specifications, data sheets, requisitions and technical bid Tabulations for the purchase of spring supports, sliding plates, expansion joints and shock absorbers/struts.
" Coordinating pipe stress related issues with the Piping Lead Engineer and other engineering disciplines as required.
" Preparing flex log of priority systems, pipe stress flexibility calculations and support data for the furnace steel and civil disciplines.
" Communicating flexibility and supporting requirements with the Piping Lead Engineer and Piping Designers.
" Preparing stress calculation notes for authority approvals.

Main Requirements:

" Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
" Minimum 5 years in similar position, ideally in Oil & Gas or (petro)chemical EPC projects.
" Knowledge of international standards related to pipe stress analysis, such as ASTM, API 530 (ISO13704), ASME B31.1, B31.3, ASME Section I, II and VII, EN 13480 and PED requirements.
" Knowledge of applying pipe stress calculation software Caesar II.

Additional Information:

The role will be offered on an initial 12 month staff contract (indefinite contract offered based on performance). Expected salary range: €3500 - €5000 per month dependent on experience in addition to 13th month salary, bonus scheme, pension scheme, discounted healthcare insurance, and relocation allowance (if applicable).
