Role Summary:

In this role you will be part of the Global Operations and Commercial Enablement team, driving the transformation of BAKER HUGHES CPQ products. Responsibilities include: 1) Collaborating with the functional and technical teams to own and drive horizontal initiatives for BAKER HUGHES products that align to the overall CPQ strategy. 2) Partnering with the Commercial DT Product Delivery team to deliver a standard UX and architecture platform. 3) Driving the PMO engagement for CPQ programs. 4) Partnering with key DT and functional stakeholders to define, prioritize and implement a strategic product roadmap for CPQ tools.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of CPQ Technical Product Manager, you will:

 

  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and major, complex CPQ products
  • Own the short-term roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases for strategic CPQ products
  • Prioritize continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs
  • Demonstrate expert level skill in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity
  • Engage frequently (80%) with the CPQ and other DT DevOps teams; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions
  • Own and manage the backlog; continuously order and prioritize to ensure that 1-2 sprints / iterations of backlog are always ready
  • Routinely collaborate UX, Architecture and engineering teams on multiple issues and decisions
  • Be regarded as an expert in Agile Methodology; translate unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work units through problem decomposition and planning
  • Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and engineering team
  • Demonstrate superior CPQ product and industry knowledge and help organization gain the competitive edge


Qualifications/Requirements:

 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 3 years of technical experience working with CPQ evaluations, selections, implementation and product roadmap

  • Experience in enterprise environments with data management and analytics responsibilities
  • Experience working with AWS and SKUID
  • Experience working with Configurator, Pricing, Costing, and/or proposal generation products
  • Demonstrates knowledge on technical topics, such as caching, APIs, data transfer, scalability, and security
