The Aspire TPS Field Engineering Traineeship is for fresh graduates and highly motivated engineering talent - those with a passion for technology and innovation, a drive to deliver technical excellence and develop their leadership skills. The traineeship is designed to accelerate participants' professional development through intense on-job learning. This traineeship will give you an opportunity to be directly involved in the delivery of services to help clients locate, evaluate and produce oil and gas ever more efficiently including improving environmental standards
The traineeship is a 6-month, structured learning experience that offers practical work experience in the Oil and Gas Industry while undertaking one core complex project to generate value for BH and act as a vehicle for you to demonstrate your capability and commitment. In addition to project execution you will have the opportunity to explore different aspects of the BH business which may open potential opportunities for your ongoing employment.
Your manager will help you gain the necessary skills and knowledge and also lead the assessment process to evaluate your skills and knowledge. You will benefit from working with an assigned mentor to ensure that you have a comprehensive, holistic learning experience. Your mentor will support and direct you to gain the necessary skills to be successful during your training.
During the training you will be developing basic oilfield knowledge working under the supervision of an experienced Field Engineer manager. Your ambition must be to demonstrate your capability to work confidently with a progressively broadening scope of knowledge, skills and customer-facing accountabilities, and in time to be able to support less qualified Field Engineers.Qualifications/Requirements:
- Legal right to work without restrictions and/or company sponsorship in Australia.
- Recent graduate with a Master's Degree program in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics engineering preferred. Other engineering disciplines are welcome to apply.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent
- Recent graduate within the last 6 months
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
Demonstrates effective written and oral communication, integrity, critical thinking/analytical skills, agility/flexibility, a continuous learning mindset, a high "say-do" ratio (execute on your commitments), teamwork and collaboration, drive for results, and initiative in addition to the following:
