To represent BP Lubricants at the technical departments of OEM and Tier 1 customers selected for business development under E Mobility (Driveline). To provide access to, and develop relationship with, the technical departments of the OEMs/Tier 1s to gain insights, technical knowledge, and trends regarding current and future hardware, and to present BP's technical offer and capability to the customer. To gain advantage for BP through the relationships and reputation formed.Key Accountabilities
Develop and maintain the relationships with key technical groups at target OEMs and Tier 1s
Being the first point of contact at the working level and representing BP Lubes technology at the OEMs technical centres.
Being the first point of contact for the FPT research and development teams on (appropriate) OEM trends, strategies etc, and viewed as the subject matter expert.
Develop new relationships to specifically promote BP's capabilities in Driveline e fluids and support new business development.
Develop insights into the OEM's needs and actively find opportunities to work with the OEM's in support of the BP lubricants business strategy into e Mobility.
Presenting data to the OEMs to support an ongoing technical dialogue and to support product approval applications.
Support the BP approval process to make sure that the required approvals can be achieved according to agreed milestones.
Represent BP as an external Industry liaison including presenting Driveline e mobility fluid capabilities at Industry Conferences and Customer Events.
Develop lubricant technology offers in conjunction with the responsible FPT Development Teams and support the BP businesses and be able to strongly influence the OEM to engage in such technology offers.
Liaise with various cross-functional teams (global Driveline Liaison, regional technology, regional marketing, regional business) to make sure that BP's product range is compliant to OEM's and BP's integrity rules
Engineering or Science Degree equivalent
Fluent Chinese and proficient English
Credibility to represent BP technology at this level with practitioners within the OEMs
Extensive experience of presenting technology to third parties; multiple years job experience in the lubes (Driveline) industry
A consistent track record of establishing relationships and networks
Significant lubricant product/ product development experience
Good understanding of lubricant sales and value propositions
