The quality engineer is a member of the GFH quality team, reporting to the quality manager. The key accountabilities of the role are; • Accountable to the quality manager for carrying out and coordinating various quality assurance and quality control verification activities as defined in the GFH Quality Plan. • Accountable for supporting the product manager in their day to day discussions with projects, operations, suppliers and contractors and providing a quality interface and liaison between GFH and projects • Accountable for the interface with the Global Operations Organisation (GOO) quality lead to maintain alignment on quality related activities across the product team activities.The quality engineer is a member of the GFH quality team, reporting to the quality manager.   • Support the engineering, procurement and project controls teams to identify quality management requirements and ensure these are captured in the purchase orders, global agreements and/or contracts
  • Support engineering in the identification of critical equipment through the implementation of formal criticality and / or risk assessment process and develop the associated POQR's, quality plans & ITP's to manage the identified risks
  • Support the selection, engagement and management of suppliers in accordance with established processes
  • Review and approve supplier quality documentation as required
  • Capture and reporting of quality data and metrics
  • Monitoring and measurement of cost of poor quality
  • Identification of continuous improvement opportunities and lead implementation where required
  • Perform incident investigation and root cause failure analysis as required
  • Lead audits and track action items from audit and investigation activities ensuring learnings are communicated
  • Capture quality-related lessons for future projects via the GPO learning system and incorporate applicable quality-related lessons learned from other sources
  • Support the codification of lessons into practices, processes, procedures and guides
Actively participate in the GPO Quality Community of Practice, cascading relevant information within GFH
