Who We Are Looking For
HSEQ Superintendent who will be reporting primarily to the Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Manager with a secondary reporting line to the Offshore BU HSSE Manager the Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Superintendent is responsible for assisting in the development and improvement of KCAD's Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality policies / procedures and for ensuring compliance with them in line with legislative requirements.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the Group Management System Procedures. Work pro-actively with relevant clients to build strong relationships, ensure their needs and requirements are understood, met in a timely manner. Assist in the preparation of annual health, safety and environmental plans which set performance objectives and targets. Delivering on any plan items delegated in a timely manner. Be fully conversant with existing and new statutory legislation, regulations and codes of practice affecting KCAD's operations in the North Sea (and overseas where directed by the Offshore BU HSSE Manager) participating in key industry forums when required. Conduct audits of installations, Group premises, warehouse and storage yards in accordance with Group Procedures as defined in the annual audit plan including, where required, audits of overseas offshore locations as agreed with the HSSE Manager. Promote safety campaigns and systems of work both on and offshore within the UK and Offshore BU. Investigating the reporting of all incidents in liaison with relevant personnel, occurring on relevant KCAD work locations ensuring these are properly reported, investigated, actioned to prevent recurrence and recorded in CATS. Promote compliance with KCAD's HSE Minimum Standards within the UK & Offshore Business Unit Operations and projects. Assist in the completion of tender bids (as required) ensuring details are factual and promote the company in a positive manner. Assist in the maintenance of the Environmental Management System and support base Ecologic Teams Assist in the maintenance of the Quality Management System ensuring internal, external & offshore audits are planned, completed, recorded and actions closed out in a timely manner to ISO 9001 Standards. Balance changing priorities across Offshore BU (UKNS & International locations)
Key Skills & Experience
- PC skills (Microsoft office and SharePoint) Time management and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise tasks, work on multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines Knowledge of QHSE processes, procedures and policies ensuring effective application and continuous improvement Experience of working in a high volume transaction processing environment, ideally QHSE Ability to run and manipulate reports/ produce quality presentations Client facing experience. Team player/ ability to work to deadline with own initiative Flexible and positive attitude to change Attention to detail and quality Excellent communication and diplomacy skills - oral and written Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative Demonstrates behaviours in line with KCA Deutag behavioural framework and core values Awareness of KCA Deutag organisation, culture, people and strategy
- Nebosh General certificate/ NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety, recognised lead incident investigation (e.g. Taproot/ Topset) and internal recognised auditor qualifications essential.
- Nebosh Diploma/ NVQ level 4/5 and Lead Auditor qualifications desirable.
UK Head Office, Portlethen Aberdeenshire (office based with element of offshore travel)
