Our client, a major global power development & investment company, are looking for a Operations & Maintenance Manager to join them on a full-time staff basis at their HQ in Doha, Qatar.

Job Purpose Summary:
The incumbent shall direct and manage all the operating assets. Reporting to the Chief Asset Management Officer. The Incumbent will be responsible to oversee and manage all the O&M activities of the managed assets with a main focus on ensuring effective asset management at the asset level resulting in assured techno-economic favorable results. The overall objective is to deliver predictable, excellence in operations, maintenance, environmental health and safety (EH&S) performance that translates into strong sustainable financial results.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions:

ABusiness Acumen:
Demonstrate exceptional knowledge and understanding of various technologies (Thermal, Hydro, Renewable (Solar, Wind), De-salination (SWRO, MSF, MEF) etc.) in the power and water industry, their operations, long term and life time extensions etc.
Demonstrate clear understanding of the financial & non-financial performance drivers of the assets specifically stakeholder engagement.
Utilize industry knowledge and expertise to improve business delivery and long term performance.
Stay abreast of technological change impacting the industry, in terms of operational improvement of asset performance, refurbishment, and lifetime extension and re-planting.
Provide a technology watch, risk oversight, benchmarks with competitive practices and business models, seek ways to create new areas of competitive advantage and value creation.
