The Exploration Resource Assessment Department is seeking a top Resource Assessment Specialist.

Working in a multidisciplinary reservoir assessment team, you will be an expert in volumetric resource assessment using industry standard methods, definitions, and guidelines (PRMS). You will have expertise to interpret data to determine volumetric parameters, and be able to interpret original fluid contacts in wells and reservoir scales.

You will have a full working knowledge of well testing and hydrocarbon fluid properties to determine the number of hydrocarbons in-place. Expertise in net pay and pore volume mapping in addition to wireline logs and core data interpretation including SCAL is essential.

Minimum Requirements:
As the successful candidate, you will have a bachelor's degree in geology, petrophysics, or geophysics. Preferably, you will hold a master's degree and doctorate.

You will have 10 or more years of industry experience in an independent oil company. Preferably, this experience will have been acquired in an oil major or international oil company.

Possess a comprehensive knowledge of PRMS, and have a working knowledge of probabilistic reserves assessment methods and risk analysis.

Advanced knowledge of Excel, VBA, and standard geoscience software packages.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:

Plan and lead studies to assess original hydrocarbons in-place through building high-resolution models using the Petroleum Resource Management System (PRMS).

Manage quality control on reservoir top- and base-structure maps, integrate logs, cores, pressure, DST/CHT, fluid data, determine original fluid contacts, calculate and prepare net-pay maps, and compute pore and hydrocarbon pore volume.

Use industry standard 3D modeling software, and have knowledge of reservoir drive mechanism, simulation, and potential recoveries.

Perform rock typing using logs and SCAL data, and build saturation height models.

Project planning and management, report writing and presentation skills in English are essential.
