Role Summary:

The Lead Materials Planning & Execution Specialist will support the Pasadena facility's supply chain managing production work centers to maximize fulfillment & minimize inventory.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Lead Materials Planning & Execution Specialist, you will:
  • Planner:
    • Plan and schedule customer orders per requested dates & the master schedule
    • Ensure both promise & request dates are current & accurate
    • Ensure Orders are complete & accurate
    • Plan and schedule Production Work Centers; meeting specific WC requirements regarding capacity, throughput & expedites
    • Maintain OTD & Past Due file
  • Buyer:
    • Create & manage purchase orders per production schedules
    • Ensure PO messages are monitored, executed & communicated
    • Maintain a productive relationship with all suppliers
    • Monitor & drive resolution to AP issues
    • Manage supplier agreements that maximize fulfillment & minimize inventory
  • Master Data Specialist:
    • Create & maintain SAP Master Data; includes Material Master data, Routers, PIR's & Source Lists
  • General:
    • Align activities to optimize OTD, inventory and Production
    • Work extensively with SAP and Microsoft Excel
    • Have daily communications with external suppliers, as well as internal customers (Production, Sourcing, Engineering...)

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution and minimum 7 years of experience with Manufacturing / Materials / Planning)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Manufacturing / Materials / Planning (OR Graduate of Baker Hughes Leadership Program)

Desired Characteristics:
  • Knowledge of SAP or Oracle
  • Previous planning or buying experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail-oriented
  • Proven record of Continuous Improvement implementation
  • Analytical metrics-oriented, high motivation
  • Must be a collaborative team player, willing to take ownership of decisions and be a results-oriented self-starter
  • High energy, confidence and tenacity. Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under tight time deadlines, with frequently changing priorities
  • Experience in utilizing lean tools and methodologies
