Saudi Aramco seeks for Flow Assurance Specialist to work with the Production & Facilities Development Department (PFDD), under Petroleum Engineering & Development Admin Area (PE&D)
The Specialist should be able to use flow analysis tools and technology to provide support to Saudi Aramco's organizations by developing solutions that ensure safe & reliable flow through wells and upstream pipeline networks and into receiving facilities under PE&D.
As a successful candidate, you should hold a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized and approved program. MSc or PhD is desirable, but not required.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in a petroleum engineering organization including flow assurance discipline.
Familiar with oil and gas surface and subsurface production facilities networks, offshore and onshore processing facilities, hydrocarbon fluid characterizations, and fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
Extensive experience in dealing and modeling multiphase flow in pipes and all related flow assurance issues, PVT analysis, heat transfer modeling, and steady state and transient production strategies including chemical and mitigations requirements. Also, able to identify design specifications; recommend improvements and economies in this area.
Extensive knowledge in multiphase flow modeling using OLGA for transient flow and Pipesim for steady state flow, as well as other similar software. Also, experience in fluid characterizations using PVTsim, MULTIFLASH and other similar software.
It is highly desirable to be skilled in programing language such as VBA coding, C++ and Python.
Able to develop tools, guidelines and process for best practice in flow assurance engineering.
Able to look at alternatives, perform economic analysis and identify the most cost-effective alternative.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:
Develop the scope of work for oil and gas upstream facilities design and reviewing engineering design packages.
Conduct oil and gas upstream risk assessment studies.
Participate in many HOZOP studies related to oil and gas upstream facilities.
Apply safety related issues and address environmental impact issues.
Perform steady state and transient multiphase flow simulations, heat transfer and flash calculations on PC-based software packages (with emphasis on using OLGA & PVTsim).
Hydrocarbon fluid characterization.
Analyze results of the simulations and recommend optimum hydraulic operating conditions.
