Role Summary:

As Communications Specialist, you will have a unique opportunity to inspire and educate the global Baker Hughes workforce and Human Resources function. In this role, you will execute and provide insights to a comprehensive communications plan targeting three audiences: the Human Resources function, managers/people leaders, and all employees. These audiences will require context, training, and, ultimately, empowerment in our engaged culture.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Communications Specialist, you will:
  • Create and project manage implementation of comprehensive, global communications plans for HR programs or initiatives in support of the global functional communications strategy
  • Plan to deploy and enable influencers and change agents to drive adoption of various HR programs and initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal partner groups (HR product company, regional and centers of excellence partners, Workday team, Communications, Digital Technology and others) to ensure communications plans address all critical business requirements
  • Partner with external systems implementation partners and other partner agencies as required
  • Incorporate HR communications into the broader BH employee communications calendar
  • Establish clear KPIs to measure effectiveness of communications campaigns and optimize content and channels over time
  • Maintain a strong external network within the HR function and business to bring new ideas and solutions to BH
  • Project manage communications campaigns for other HR initiatives as they arise

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or Public Relations from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism

Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience developing and executing high-level strategic employee and change management communications strategies and plans
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding organization skills, presentation skills and verbal & written communication skills
  • Experience in digital and print content creation and content strategy development and execution
  • Technical knowledge of multiple communication channels, to include but not be limited to, websites, blogs, apps, newsletters, email, and social media
  • Ability to distill complex information into clear, concise messaging
  • Ability to fluidly navigate between strategy and execution (can develop high-level strategic plans and also produce crisp, clear communications)
  • Demonstrable experience of effective stakeholder management
