Role Summary:

The Staff End User Support Engineer will work as a valued team member of an Agile software response and support team and will work on end user support related issues and develop high quality software fixes and improvements that meet customer needs in a competitive and exciting work environment. As a team member you will contribute to the teams' delivery of high quality software fixes and improvements from handling customer reported issues, through design choices around the fix, to code development, testing and release.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Staff End User Support Engineer, you will:
  • Be accountable to functional business for customer issue resolution
  • Be a member of the software Response and Support team developing engineering solutions that meet product and customer solutions
  • Ensure code quality is maintained and organized with automation
  • Support other Baker Hughes Businesses with growing technical expertise

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a "STEM" major (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 4 years of software development experience

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Travel up to 5% of the time, as required
  • Work out of an office in Minden, NV

Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience in languages such as C++, C#, Java, XAML, HTML5
  • Knowledge of relational databases
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming

Technical Expertise:
  • Familiar with Vibration, Conditioning Monitoring and Diagnostic Systems, specifically in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of various software development technologies
  • Knowledge of Test Driven Development practices
  • Familiar with Agile concepts, preferably Scrum
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio/TFS 2015 or later

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong business analysis and problem solving skills
  • Evaluates products & processes to assure compliance. Measures the impact of trends (cyclical or a shift) and takes action relative to product value position and overall strategy
