My client in Reading are recruiting for a Senior Network and Security Engineer on a contract basis. Rates negotiable.

The Network and Security Engineer will carry out the implementation of network design infrastructure across a subsea project. They will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues. The individual is a technical expert and has responsibility for ensuring that projects involving network infrastructure are completed to the highest possible technical level and fully in line with all Corporate Governance standards.

Cisco Network Engineer must have the following key technical skills:

" CCNA/CCNP or equivalent experience
" IT Infrastructure / networking technical background essential.
" LAN, WAN, MPLS, QoS, BGP, OSPF, RIP, IPSEC, GRE, L2TP, MSTP, HSRP, Virtual Switching are a must.
" Experienced in all aspects of networking, L1 to L3 skills essential.
" Experience of; Cisco ASR 920 Router, Cisco Firepower, Cisco IE-3000 and 4000 series, Westermo Switches is desirable
" Experience of; WMware ESXi server setup, WMware ESXi Vcenter is desirable
" Must have a sound understanding in Data centre type technologies, Windows Server, Active Directory/DNS and VmWare.

" Routing and Switches experience (CISCO ASR & IE series)
" HP Load balancer
" CISCO ISE administration, ie.e onboard Network Devices, and endpoints.
" Cisco ASA Firewall policy for migration to VMWare NSX
" VMWARE, NSX experience (Firewalls, routing, switching)
" Wireless LAN controllers experience for system upgrades and testing of new WAP models
" Supporting senior Network engineer on automation and scripting on builds, current repetitive tasks and building automation for future migrations
