Role Summary/Purpose

The Bently Nevada Systems Integration Engineering Technical Leader will be a key member of the Product Company Services team, driving strategic growth initiatives and supporting other regional and global service initiatives. The successful candidate will have a solid background of performing, leading and executing solutions in industrial environments and working in a matrix environment. As part of a headquarters team, this position requires the development of reliable, secure, repeatable integration solutions among PLC, data historians, vibration monitoring, analysis systems & ICS/DCSS/CS - using technologies including, but not limited to OPC, Modbus, TCP/IP, & XML. This role also requires leadership, training, mentoring, support for our regional teams to ensure they understand how to deploy best practice & secure integration solutions. There is also an emphasis in the design, implementation, and support of secure solutions using wireless and wide area telecom provider grade communication technologies.

Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Systems Integration Engineering Technical Leader, you will:

 

  • Develop and integrate processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy
  • Lead strategic development and implementation of growth initiatives for Bently services product line
  • Coordinate with the regional teams to ensure consistent and complementary operations across regional boundaries. Develop and drive best practices, policies and procedural compliance
  • Conduct field work in compliance with all EHS applicable regulations and encourage good employee safety practices
  • Serve as a business partner to the regional, product line, and technology teams to drive business initiatives
  • Implement continuous improvement projects & processes through Lean Six Sigma tools & methodologies
  • Facilitate cross-functional project review meetings & report-outs
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot thin client application solutions
  • Analyze, quantify, and report security vulnerability risks
  • Design and implement secure integration solutions that meet customers' expectations
  • Create framework components for wireless and wide area networking secure communication solution
  • Create framework components for risk quantification
  • Conduct periodic system vulnerability assessments of internal and external solutions
  • Measure integration solutions' effectiveness and performance from customers' perspective
  • Stay abreast of new technologies and best practices and translate these factors into product solutions and services
  • Provide commercial and technical support to regional ITO and OTR teams
  • Provide in office support to the Minden Remote Monitoring Center
  • Provide input/feedback/review to Technology regarding new and existing hardware and software products with a focus on cyber security design and implementation
  • Other duties as required


Qualifications/Requirements

 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering / Science or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with industrial automation, control, or protection systems

  • Travel up to 30% of the time, as required (including short notice)

  • Experience working with or for regional or national telecommunications providers
  • Experience with the implementation and troubleshooting of MS Active Directory
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, switches, and routers
  • Bently Nevada supplied Server Hardware Expertise (currently HP & Dell)
  • Exceptionally strong customer service mindset
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience in the application and adherence of Industrial, Automation, and Control System Cyber Security standards
  • System audit experience
  • Current knowledge of best practices regarding SCADA implementation and security
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or GICSP (Global Information Assurance Certification) certified
  • Strong knowledge of Bently Nevada products or other equivalent products utilizing similar communication protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to document, plan and manage programs that further the knowledge, understanding, and capability of the business
  • Experience in System 1 software
  • Six Sigma GB certification or equivalent
