Petroplan is currently accepting applications for a CATS Coordinator (Competency, Assurance, and Training) to join a market leading Oil Field Service company.

This opportunity will be located in Minot, ND, M-F, possible weekends, and will be contract.

Skills Include:
Technical Writing Support:

  • Provide grammatical and formatting review of technical documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks.
  • Communicate with requestor(s) and ensure product(s) are approved for publication.
  • Ensures all technical materials are stored in the EDMS system in accordance with Company standard.
  • Ensures all materials meet approved writing standards and templates.
  • Distribute "notice of publication" communication to the requestor and impacted personnel.
  • Track requests and progress through the publication process.
  • Maintains Standard Work Instruction SharePoint site and reference materials.

CAT Coordination and Support:

  • Assist with special projects at the request of CAT team members.
  • Complete data analysis, metrics updates and CAT standard work instruction.
  • Complete weekly communication (e.g., 2 Week Look Ahead) and SharePoint updates.
  • Completes annual updates and publication of master training matrix, and competency standard profiles.
  • Assists Records Administrator, functional CAT development and training team as requested.
  • Attends weekly team meetings and provides updates on work assignments and progress.
  • Other:
  • Additional responsibilities may be added to scope of work based on business need.


  • 0-2 Years Technical Writing Experience, preferred.

Education, Training & Certifications

  • High school diploma, or equivalent
