Essential Job Functions

Independently applies the principles, theories and concepts of production and revenue accounting to assignments at the highest level of proficiency and productivity. Handles the most complex assignments.

Other Job Responsibilities

Understands and stays abreast of tax and royalty regulations.

Acts as backup to record, pay and file tax and royalty reports.

Assists team with preparation of accruals.

Reviews master data/lease master setups.

Reviews tax and royalty errors and rejects.

Prepares MJEs and write-off entries.

Prepares monthly balance sheet reconcilements.

Assists with audit and litigation coordination and acquisition and divestiture activity.

Participates in audit and litigation walk-throughs.

Prepares responses to regulatory requests.

Coordinates Balance Sheet meetings and prepares analysis and commentary. Attends meetings and speaks to variances when needed.

Provides training to the team on various tax and royalty topics.

Maintains a positive working relationship with the tax and royalty regulatory agencies.

Assists Manager with ensuring establishment and maintenance of proper internal accounting controls, including those associated with SOX processes and associated maps.

Minimum Education/Experience Guidelines

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance strongly preferred

MBA/CPA preferred

Computer Proficiencies: SAP PRA and Microsoft Office applications a plus.
